Shipping

All international shipping is currently slow and delays occur due to the ongoing pandemic and the holiday backlog.

Canada: Canada Post is not currently accepting shipments from Central Europe. We'll resume shipping once it's possible.

UK: UK borders are closed due to the outbreak of the mutated COVID-19-virus. We'll resume shipping once it's possible.

USA: Shipping to the US is slow and a bit erratic due to the restructuring of USPS ordered by the US government (USA: expect running times of 2-6 weeks. Please make sure to keep an eye on your parcel (tracking number provided at the time of shipping - can be tracked on usps.com)

All international shipping: there are delays.

If not otherwise announced in the shop statement / Shop information: We're sending out order on Mondays and on Fridays.
If Monday is a public holiday your order will be sent out on Tuesday, if Friday is a holiday your order will be sent out on Monday.

We ship nationally and internationally with the Autrian Postal Services. Big orders within the European Union are sometimes sent with the parcel service Hermes.

Orders with a total weight of less than 1kg (about 2 lbs) are sent as letters (International First Class Mail). Orders that weight more than 1 kg (about 2lbs) are sent as trackable parcels.

Tracking and insurance are not available through International First Class Mail service. Your order will not be insured and it won't be possible to track its whereabouts. In case you have questions please contact up before ordering.

REFUNDS for shipped items: Please note that if an international shipment gets delayed during transport/shipping for any reasoe are NO REFUNDS for the first 6 months.

SHIPPING OVERAGES: Yes, we do refund shipping overages.
We do our best to keep our shipping costs up-to-date but sometimes Etsy does charge too much for shipping (especially if you order three or more items - shipping costs are not linear and basically the more you order the cheaper the price/item gets). Therefore we refund shipping overages if they occur after your order has been shipped and we know the exact shipping price we have to pay.

Please note that you as a customer are responsible to provide the correct shipping address. We have no way to verify shipping address. We do not refund shipping charges of shipments that are returned to us due to incorrect shipping addresses or due to customers not collecting their shipments. If you want your order to be sent a second time you'll have to pay for shipping it again. If you prefer to have your order refunded please note that shipping charges can't be refunded and there is also a return fee of EUR 5 that can't be refunded.

If using PayPal please make sure that your PayPal address is your correct shipping address! Orders will be automatically sent to the PayPal address even if you manually provide a different address on Etsy!

**COVID-19 update: US customers: USPS is currently NOT scheduling redelivering attempts - so please make sure to only order when you or someone you trust can collect your order from the post office in case USPS can't deliver your order at their first attempt! We will not refund your shipping charges if you're unable to collect your order!

UK: We do not currently know how the Brexit / Exit / Non-Exit / Non-Brexit will affect shipping. Please contact you local post office / Royal Mail to learn more from them.

USA:

Update April 13, 2020: currently orders can't be shipped to the US and all US territories.

All provided tracking numbers can be checked on www.usps.com

All orders are sent as priority (International First Class) letters that have to be signed for - we'll provide the tracking number once we ship the items. You can check the tracking number on usps.com and arrange for re-delivery if you're not at home during the first time delivery.

Orders above on 1kg (2lbs) will be sent as parcels (with tracking and insurance) - provided tracking number can be checked on www.usps.com

Free shipping policy: if your order qualifies for free shipping you're responsible to provide a correct shipping address and make sure to collect your shipment. Tracking details will be provided at the time of shipping and all shipments can be tracked on www.usps.com. If you fail to collect your order, provide a wrong address or move to a new address during the shipping process and your order is returned to us we'll bill you the shipping costs and the return fee - a minimum of EUR 15 but not exceeding EUR 30.

Canada: running times differ a lot depending on Canadian customs. Shipping time can be anything from 6 days to 6 weeks. All shipments to Canada are sent as registered air mail letters.

Germany: due to changes in Deutsche Post policies we can't ship to "Packstation" - please use an alternative address.

Parcels can be tracked online and are insured up to a value of EUR 100. In case of loss we (PaperPhine) need to claim the insurance. All orders that have more than 1kg in weight are send out as parcels.
Registered letters can be tracked by your post office on request and are insured up to a value of EUR 50. In case of loss the customer (you) have to claim the insurance at your post office.

All orders are shipped from Vienna, Austria (Europe).

If you want insurance or add a tracking code to your order please get in touch before making your purchase.
Please note that Austrian Postal Services considers up to three months "acceptable" for delivery of letters and parcels outside the European Union. Therefore we can't refund any money before three months have passed.

Fortunately PaperPhine's yarns and twines are unbreakable. Nevertheless they are packed carefully, all jewelry comes in small gift boxes.

Shipping Overages

Shipping overages: Yes, we do refund shipping overages.
We do our best to keep our shipping costs up-to-date but sometimes Etsy adds up too much for shipping (especially if you order three or more items - shipping costs are not linear and basically the more you order the cheaper the price per item gets).

Finest - Medium - Strong - Bulky - I'm confused!!

Our paperyarns / paper twines come in 4 categories refering to their thickness:

- Finest: is the thinnest paper yarn we have with only a fraction of a millimeter (0.4mm in diameter).
Please note that our finest paper yarn in black is thinner than the white and natural varieties. The finest paper yarn in black resembles more a fine paper thread than a paperyarn.

- Medium: versatile and in-between the finest and the strong varieties with a diamter of 0.6mm

- Strong: our most popular paper twine that is available in 25+ colors. It has a diameter of 0.9 - 1.1mm. Looking for a color you don't find? Contact us!

- Bulky: with 1.2mm our thickest paper twine available in 15+ colors. Opens up beautifully for many craft projects.
